Zhang Ka & twins update

CCRCGP Ya'an Bi Feng Xia Base
Zhang Ka gave birth to twin on August 20, 2011 in a semi-wild enclosure in Ya’an Bi Feng Xia. So far, both female twins are doing well. The first born twin is being nurtured by Zhang Ka and the second twin is hand-raised in the nursery. It has been observed that Zhang Ka is doing a good job at raising her cub in the semi-wild environment. According to the staff on October 10, the older twin raised by Zhang Ka in the semi-wild environment weighed 2755 grams (6.05lbs) her growth and development in good condition. In the nursery the second born twin sister weighed 2700 grams (5.95lbs). Both cubs are healthy, mentally and physically.
