Su Lin & her son on her birthday
Today, August 2, 2011 is Su Lin’s sixth birthday. She was born at the San Diego Zoo, and today she is living in Wolong’s Hetaoping semi-wild training enclosure. Her keepers prepared several specials for her, picking the freshest bamboo. She likes to eat bamboo leaves and bamboo leaves with the morning dew still on, were given to her.
Su Lin’s son is 26 days old and his black markings are already apparent. Her cub is relatively large and it is not so easy to deal with for Su Lin. But her motherly instinct is great, she always tries to hold her cub and keeps licking him. She lives with her cub in a cave and brings bamboo inside. It is raining nearly daily and it is a test for Su Lin and her cub, she chooses a place where it is not pouring with rain.
