Building a climbing structure
This morning we cleaned the cages at the No. 2 enclosure. I cleaned the room of Xiong Bang (Japanese name = Yu Hin). His brother Long Bang (Japanese name = Ryu Hin) came to see if I was doing well… When everything was clean, we went outside to provide Xiong Bang some food. Mei Lan & Long Bang were sleeping and Shu Xiang & Qi Miao (the Macau pandas) were sleeping together in a tree. When Xiong Bang had enough bamboo, we moved to the sub-adult panda enclosure.
Here we had to climb into the enclosure and we had to build a climbing structure for the giant pandas. It was a very hard job, it was raining and everybody was getting very dirty. We were provided with some tools and we had 2 hours to finish the job…
In the afternoon we putt bamboo in the exhibits of the Young Cub Enclosure and we could feed pandacakes, apples and bamboo to the 6 pandas. Shu Yun, Ya Lin, Shuang Qing & Yuan Zi were born in 2008. (1st enclosure). Xiang Bing & Shu Rong were born in 2007. (2nd enclosure)
At the end of the day we received some information about “the final game” on Wednesday. Tomorrow will be the last training day for the 12 Pambassador candidates. Grtz Pambassador Jeroen Jacobs
