Po & De De arrived safely in Chengdu on May 18, 2013. The only surviving panda twins outside of Asia left their birth town Madrid on the evening of May 16, 2013. A TNT-truck transported the pandas and their keeper Alejandro Cabrera from Madrid through Spain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands to Schiphol Airport. After a direct KLM-flight Amsterdam-Chengdu the brothers arrived at their new home the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
From now on Po will be called ‘A Bao’.
