Expected in Edinburgh... Tian Tian & Yang Guang
Edinburgh Zoo is expecting their panda pair soon. Let’s hope Edinburgh Zoo can make an official announcement on the future arrival of Tian Tian & Yang Guang soon! While we are waiting for Tian Tian & Yang Guang, take a look at these pictures of Edinburgh’s new VIPS at the Ya’an Bi Feng Xia Base of CCRCGP in China.
I visited Tian Tian & Yang Guang at the Quarantine Area of the Ya’an Bi Feng Xia Base of CCRCGP last week.
Tian Tian (female) was born on August 24, 2003 at the Beijing Zoo.
She has studbook number 569. Her name means Sweet.
Her mother is Niu Niu (421) and her father is Ying Ying (369).
She gave birth to twins on August 7, 2009. Her male cub was named Bo Si and her female cub Shen Wei.
Yang Guang (male) was born on August 14, 2003 at the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Panda in Wolong.
He has studbook number 564. His anme means Sunshine.
His mother is Quan Quan (414) and his father is Pan Pan (308).
He has a twin sister, Xin Yue.
