Zhang Ka gives birth to twins at Ya'an Bi Feng Xia

Zhang Ka gave birth to twins at a semi-wild enclosure at the CCRCGP Ya’an Bi Feng Xia Base on August 20, 2011. It is the first birth this year in Bi Feng Xia. The second born cub, a female, was taken to an incubator in the nursary. Captive giant panda birth is a semi-wild giant panda research center reintroduction of wild training and research in an experimental stage.
